Researchers from the Queen Mary Centre for Predictive in vitro Models featured prominently at this year's WORD+ 2025 conference in Cambridge. At this premier UK conference on organoid and organ-chip technologies, Prof Martin Knight & Dr Stefaan Verbruggen showcased the exciting breakthroughs happening at the CPM.

Additionally, the head of SEMS Prof Hazel Screen took part in an inspiring panel discussion on International Day for Women and Girls in Science, for the podcast "Organoids and a large portion of Chips!". The head of the CPM's new Centre for Doctoral Training for Organ-on-a-Chip Technologies, Prof Julia Shelton, demonstrated our exciting programme of research-driven learning for the next 8 years.

Finally, Dr Stefaan Verbruggen delivered two hour-long interactive training sessions on the history and development of organ-chips, troubleshooting tips on working with microfluidics, and the future trends as the field combines forces with organoid research.

An exhilarating few days, showing the bright future of advanced in vitro methods at Queen Mary and in the UK.
