In vitro Models Club

The London cancer and stem cell In vitro Models Club is a forum to bring together researchers from across London who are working on in vitro models. Anyone with an interest is welcome to attend and, whilst the main focus is on stem cell and oncology models, we invite speakers covering a much broader range of topics and would encourage anyone with an interest in in vitro modelling to come along. The club meets twice a year, for an afternoon at the Blizard Institute, QMUL. Each meeting has a topical theme around which the talks revolve, and there are opportunities to network during the coffee break and post-meeting drinks reception. Attendance is free, and if you’d like to join the mailing list please contact Adrian Biddle at a.biddle@qmul.ac.uk.

If you’d like to volunteer to speak, or have a theme that you’d particularly like to see covered in a future meeting, please feel free to get in touch. Each meeting also includes a  technology talk from a commercial sponsor – please get in touch if you’re interested in sponsoring a meeting.

Examples of recent themes for the In vitro Models Club:

  • Modelling the microenvironment in vitro (December 2019)
  • Cutting edge imaging in 2D and 3D (July 2019)
  • Single cell approaches for investigating population heterogeneity (December 2018)

The In vitro Models Club scheduled for June has been postponed due to covid-19.
