Interests
I am interested to study the switching of phenotypes and alterations in phagocytosis activity of macrophages upon pharmaceutical treatments in vitro. This assay can be conducted with biogel-elicited macrophages or bone marrow-derived macrophages. Phenotypes and phagocytosis activity of macrophages can be determined by flow cytometry. I have also developed techniques to look at mitochondrial mass and potential from isolated primary cardiomyocytes, immune cells, cardiac fibroblasts and endothelial cells using flow cytometry.Publications
